In response to Abortion Workers need our Love, Not our Hate. by St. Michael's Helper

Recently I read a heartfelt article by Jennie Stone about Abby Johnson's new ministry And then there were none (www.attwn.org). Sadly her article was inaccurate and ill-conceived. If anything, the article was an attack against pregnancy centers claiming that proLifers flock to fund CPCs with such great abundance, ergo, they should be funding attwn.org with the same vigor.
It would be a dream come true that pregnancy centers no longer had to rely on baby bottle change drives to fund their operation, and they could be open 7 days a week, fully funded, with 3d 4d sonogram machines and medical staff in every location.
If my math is correct, and the gallup poll is correct, the proLife movement could be receiving over $128 billion dollars a year if the people who claim to be proLife would just give up one Starbucks drink per week and donate that money towards the sanctity of human life.
But, alas, it is not so.
I hope, one day soon, that we have an army of people who will contribute their time, talent, and treasure to protect God's most innocent.
Currently, proLife is like every other social cause in America. Of the people who call themselves proLife, only 10% ever actually do anything, and the real heavy lifting comes from 2% or 3% of the proLife community.
The real sad part is that of all the people who declare themselves proLife, most are actually PLINOs (proLife In Name Only).
It is even sadder that every Church I know spends more money each month on lawn maintenance than they do on ending legalized child killing or supporting mothers with unplanned pregnancies.
Please understand, I have said multiple times on PLB, we need everyone's help in all areas of proLife ministry including Truthful Signs, Prayer, Sidewalk Counseling, Letter & Editorial Writing, Public Witness, Education, Leafleting, Lobbying, Community Organization, Media, Art, Abortion Recovery, Public Interest Lawyers, Clinic Worker Outreach and all the other tools and gifts God himself has equipped us with in order to prevail in this fight. I believe they are all equally necessary and important in the eyes of Christ.
I am grateful Abby had a conversion experience, accepted Christ, and is now working in the proLife community. Perhaps she feels her efforts in this new ministry is part of her repentance for participating in the murder of thousands of pre-born babies. I am truly grateful she is reaching out to the people who work in the death camps. Each and every one of them is at risk for eternal damnation without salvation that can only come from Christ, and who better to help them than someone who has made it safely outside the gates of the American Auschwitz.
Last year I worked with a group who wanted Abby Johnson to speak at an event. We reached out to her, and found out her speaking fee was $3,500 - $5,000, plus travel and lodging expenses (http://tiny.cc/d6rugw ). Quite frankly, I was stunned.
I know proLife luminaries who travel all across the country to carry the message and method that Christ has placed on their heart, who have never had a fee, they do it because they realize that they will stand before Christ one day, and will have an accounting of their life.
Additionally, I know leaders in this movement with 4 kids who make less than $3,500 per month, and every time they are given an honorarium for speaking, they donate it back to the group they are helping.
Here is an idea for Abby. Perhaps she can create a matching gift program for her new ministry. She can match dollar for dollar up to 50% of her earnings from speaking fees and book sales to fund this new ministry.
Perhaps then she can begin to understand the sacrifice Christ made for us and expects each of us to make in rebuilding his Kingdom on earth.
I pray daily for Abby and hope she can reach those workers who's heart have turned to stone. What in incredible legacy that would be, founding the ministry that led every blood worker in America to Christ!
If God could hear the voice of Abel's blood crying out to Him from the ground (Genesis 4:10), do you suppose God has missed the cries of those 50,000,000 infants who've been butchered in America since 1973?
